Fees

We have a standard fee schedule for normal uncomplicated vaginal deliveries which includes a complete physical examination, up to thirteen prenatal visits, complete care of the mother at the time of delivery and a six week post-delivery visit. Laboratory work, blood tests, Pap smears, ultrasound, fetal monitoring and other services are extra, but may be covered by your insurance.

In addition to our billing, patients will also be billed separately for the hospital stay, the anesthesiologist, the pediatrician and other services not provided directly by our office or physicians.

Payment

Payments are best handled on a pay-as-you-go basis. If you do not have insurance or if you have only partial insurance please notify our receptionists at your first appointments. We will be able to arrange a payment plan that is workable for both you and our office.

If you do have insurance, we will need to make a copy of the front and back of your insurance card and, if your insurance company requires it, a completed referral form. If you have more than one insurance company, it is very important that we know which is your Primary insurance and which is the Secondary insurance.

We will submit one insurance claim to your insurance company or companies after your delivery. For each additional insurance claim we submit there will be a $10 charge to your account.

For medical care not covered by insurance, we ask that your fee for services provided be paid at the time of your visit. MasterCard, Visa, personal checks and cash are all accepted. Obstetrical fees that are not covered by your maternity insurance should be paid by the seventh month of pregnancy. A payment schedule will be established during your pre-natal visits.

Please notify us immediately if your insurance changes at any time during your pregnancy

Insurance Carriers

We participate in many insurance plans and networks. If you're not sure whether we're covered in your plan, please contact your insurance administrator to check. Most insurance carriers, HMOs and PPOs now have websites where it's possible to check what doctors are covered simply by entering your location and a specialty area.

When you come to our office for your first visit, please bring your insurance card and any co-payment with you. Our staff will file your insurance claims for all obstetrical care and gynecologic surgeries.

Insurance Can Be Complicated

We will be glad to help you determine just what costs your insurance will cover. We will also be happy to make arrangements so that the balance on your account will be paid by the time you are seven months pregnant.
